I decided to take up MMA out of curiosity. My whole life I have been a physically active person pushing my mind and body to new limits. In the fall of 2008 I was out of college and searching for something new to pursue that I could put 100 percent of my mind and body into. MMA is a fascinating sport that definitely has done that for me. Goals: I do not have any long term goals while training MMA however, I do intend to keep training hard and preparing myself for my first amateur fight. |

Andrew RiveraAge: 27 Height: 5’8” Weight: 175 lbs. From: Brooklyn
Currently fighting Muay Thai but also looking to fight MMA. I have been training in various martial arts since I was young, introduced to them by my father who was a U.S. Marine. I enjoy the physical and mental discipline required to become a fighter and the challenge of stepping into the ring or cage with an opponent who has prepared just as hard as I have.
Goals: I look forward to making a career in this game and becoming a champion! |

I love this sport and everything that comes with it. I've always had a love for competition but I could never find a sport to apply that love to until now. I also fight to try and make a better life for my family because I don't want my kids to experience what I had to.
Goals: I guess you can say my reasons for fighting are love, fun and a better life. Plus I'm kinda good at it. |

Since I was a kid, I have always been fascinated about martial arts. I always dreamed to be one of the best in a sport, that many people are afraid of, and have so much respect for... when Muay Thai came on my way and I saw the trainnig, I realized, that this is the sport that I destined to learn,... this is the art, which will change my life...I find my identity.
Goals: is to graduate from New York City College of Technology, and keep competing, win as many fights as I can, and also to keep improving my skills for later, to be able to teach Muay Thai, the most efficient stand up style. |
